I was delighted to host my very first makeup masterclass in City Square last week! Eeeek, so exciting! I really enjoyed sharing my tips and tricks, it was so much fun.
My masterclass was all about using affordable products to create a natural, everyday makeup look, one that is easy to do, gives you a glow and perfect for when you are running out the door in the mornings.
My beautiful model for my masterclass was the fab Jessica from My Secret Boutique blog. The natural, glowy look was gorgeous on her. I absolutely love this kind of pretty makeup for everyday. It makes the skin look so fresh and healthy and gives you a bit of polish without looking overdone.
Seeing as this masterclass was all about everyday makeup I tried to stick to affordable products that I love. Obviously as a makeup artist I have lots of high end makeup in my kit for makeovers, but in my own personal makeup bag I would have plenty of budget products for when I am just doing everyday makeup on myself.
From the Carter Beauty range I love the Covert Concealer and the Gel Eyeliner. Both are priced at around €5 and they are fab. The concealer is full coverage and the eyeliner is so creamy, it's perfect for putting on in a hurry everyday as it glides on. I also love the Carter Beauty lipsticks. I used the shade 'Adele' on my model, it's like a pinky nude but with a bit more bite to it. If you are going for a natural everyday look this lipstick would be great as the colour really lifts the complexion and adds a bit more polish to your makeup.
To add the glow to the skin I used the Madison City Glam Palette. The blusher in this palette is a great little dupe for the Nars Orgasm blush. It has a similar golden sheen going through it.
I went for a really natural look on the eyes using the Sosu Keilidh Urban Bible Palette and I added the Sosu Katie lashes to show how you can amp u the look a little for lunch with friends or maybe a daytime date!
